48- Dash

Rebecca is 48 Weeks!

We've had a fun week! My Aunt Anne and Uncle John stopped by for a surprise visit on their way to Myrtle Beach. It was great to see them! This is seriously the only I picture I got. My little wiggle worm would not sit still.

Rebecca went to to her first minor league baseball game. She doesn't look too sure about things in this picture but warmed up to everything pretty quickly. By the end of the night she was standing up in Matt's lap and clapping for everyone sitting behind us. It was like she was trying to get them pumped up for the game. :)

This weekend we had big plans for visiting our friends in Kure Beach but with Hurricane Irene coming decided to stay here. It actually all worked out. Our friends, the Baucoms, were in town for a wedding and stayed the night with us on Saturday.

We all went to breakfast on Sunday. Here is Rebecca cheesing and doing some baby yoga in her high chair.

And my favorite picture of the week! Our future body builder picking up her walker like it's no big deal. It think it's the serious look on her face that gets me. So funny!

47- First Steps

Rebecca is 47 Weeks!

She took her first steps this week! She started on Tuesday night with about two. She's up to about 8 steps in a row now but will usually crawl wherever she wants to go. Here she is in the kitchen with her favorite toy, a Dora the Explorer microphone. "Come on, Vamanos! Everybody, let's go-o! Come on, let's get to it and know that we can do it!" No, it is not a collector's item. It's still in the box because it says for 3 and up. But I had to give it to her because it's from the ladies at her daycare in Alabama. They said they got her a microphone because she's going to be a star. :)

This week Rebecca also had her first sleep over! She stayed with Matt's parents while Matt and I went to the 76th Annual Fiddler's Convention in Galax, VA. Camping, bluegrass, fair food- so fun!!

And eating pretty much anything I give to her.

46- Standing Up

Rebecca is 46 weeks!

We've had a good week! Matt went to Georgia this weekend to go white water rafting for his friend JJ's bachelor party and Rebecca and I went to Elkin for a visit. We had a great time!

Funny face! Rebecca has been into making tons of different faces lately. She is so funny!

On Sunday Rebecca and I went to Church with our friends the Robinsons and their little girl, Elexa. Here they are the girls at lunch afterwards at Village Tavern.

Hey! Let's try and pull up our mats. Ok!

Here is Rebecca in the bath. She has started standing up on her own without pulling up on anything. She figured it out on Monday night and would stand up then clap for herself then sit down so she could do it again. So cute! Also this week Rebecca's top two front teeth are coming in. It's about time! Fortunately they don't seem to be bothering her too bad.

45- Belews Creek

Rebecca is 45 weeks!

We've had a good week! Rebecca is back at 100% and I finally finished cleaning and organizing our apartment. We still have some decorating to do (hang pictures, get lamp shades, etc.) but now all of our stuff is in order and I'm feeling relived. Here is Rebecca helping push our cart at Lowes- one of our many trips to Lowes for supplies.

Saturday was Rebecca's first trip to the lake. It was so much fun! She hated her life jacket but loved everything else.

Rebecca is becoming such a toddler! Here she is naked, playing with old medicine bottles (which she loves??).

She really didn't cry much as a baby and doesn't cry a lot now but she's definitely starting to make her opinions known. And she is always on the move! She isn't walking yet but is definitely cruising and can stand up on her own to play. She'll also sometimes stand on her feet to crawl like Mowgli from the Jungle Book. :)

Such a big girl!
