Picnic

Rebecca!

The weather has been so weird. Here we are having a picnic one night last week. Yesterday I had to pick the girls up from school early for ice and there was a delay this morning.

I organized all the toys into "centers" downstairs. It's amazing how a small bin of similar toys will hold Laura's attention a lot longer than a giant bin full of everything we own. And it feels so much more calm down there now. I love it!

This weekend Rebecca and I went to Mackenzie's birthday at the Children's museum. So fun!

Play doh outside! We moved the TV outside for the NC State game. Go pack!

Peak a boo! Oma came over on Sunday! Laura had a little stomach bug but seems to be doing better now. We were walking downstairs and one of the lights in the light fixture had burnt out. Rebecca said, "oh no, that light has died."

Ice

Laura! Laura and I went next door to the diner for dinner during Rebecca's dance class. She did great! She was cheesing it up and waving at everyone who walked by.

We had more snow on Friday! It was really a slushy mix of ice and snow. Daycare was canceled but so was school so Ariel was able to come over and babysit for the day. Yea Ariel! Friday night our other babysitter, Sarah, came over and Matt and I were able to go out to dinner. So nice! Willow Bistro- delicious!! I generally hate all restaurants with the word Bistro in their name but this place was great.

Sweethearts. Rebecca likes the pretend we're a family and she's the mama, Laura is the daddy, I'm the sister and Matt is the brother. I'm not sure how she came up with this combination but she does not stray from it. Also if we are ever the Freshbeat Band, Rebecca is Kiki, Laura is Marina, Matt is Twist and I am Shout. Every time.

On Saturday I took the girls to meet our friends Brittney and Elexa for Lunch at Chick fila a. This is really the best picture I got. It was pure chaos.

After the snow on Friday it was gorgeous on Saturday and Sunday.

We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the weather.

Rebecca offered a lick of her Popsicle to Laura who bit off a huge piece. Stinker.

Handsome! Saturday night Matt and Jarrett went to a fancy fundraiser and Rebecca spent the night with her Oma.

I had the best time with this sweet girl. She does so good when she has you all to herself. Such a sweetie!

First trip to the grocery store! This weekend I went to Providence and got to meet this sweet boy. It was great to visit with Mary Martha and Will and snuggle this little cutie.

Matt kept the girls this weekend and made this breakfast feast.

Oma to the rescue! Matt's mama came over to play with the girls and took Laura home with her to spend the night.

She loved it! And I'm so glad it worked out. Poor Matt. Laura is such a sweetheart but also so demanding. I would not say she is one to just go with the flow. She's just extreme. She will fuss when she's mad but she is also the best snuggler. She can make you feel like she loves you SO much. She is really into turning the lights on an off and can say dark. She can also say shoes, more, off, on, up. Genius!
