Mother's Day

Rebecca!
We had a great Mother's Day weekend! On Saturday I took an infant CPR class (better late than never?) and got a pedicure while Matt watched Rebecca. It was luscious.
Saturday night we stopped on our way to Elkin to have supper and visit with our friends, Cody, Martha and Emma. They live in the country and it is beautiful! Here are Matt and the girls waiting to wave at cars. On Sunday we went to church and had lunch with Matt's family. It was great!
Rebecca loves some bubbles.
Here she is tasting the bubbles.
Yuck!

Low Country Boil

Rebecca!
Breakfast this morning. Rebecca calls her stuffed bunny and Clifford her babies and she loves them! She carries them where ever she goes. Of coarse she's become attached to the two biggest toys she has. And you can't really tell in this picture but this bunny rabbit wears a swimsuit :)
Swinging! She loves it! Rebecca loves some adventure. She is not afraid of the big slide at the park. She is getting so big! She is really starting to talk more and more. She doesn't say that much but it's becoming easier and easier to understand her. She's also getting into concepts. Like Mama home. Daddy work. She really loves to tell us what to do. Mama sit. And Hot dog? Hot dog? This means turn on Mickey Mouse Club House.
This weekend we had a Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby/Housewarming party. It was so much fun!! As usual, I wish I'd gotten more pictures. It rained some Saturday afternoon but cleared up in time for the party. Marty and Matt made an awesome low country boil. Tons of friends came and we stayed up to the wee hours. So fun!

Grandma and Pops

Rebecca!
The weekend before last was Granny Foda'd 90th birthday party. I wish I'd gotten a picture of her- she looks great! We enjoyed super with quite a group in Winston. Foda's Neices sang for her and Rebecca danced the entire time. She is such a ham!
That weekend Rebecca and I went to church at the Wait Chapel at Wake Forest to hear our friend Laura preach. She did a great job!
Last week my parents came to visit and we loved having them!!
They could not get enough of Rebecca and she could not get enough of them. She has continued to ask for them as soon as she wakes up. Luckily we'll see them again in May. Can't wait!
On Saturday we made the trip to Blacksburg to visit with my Granny and Aunt Anne and Uncle John. It was a quick trip but so great to see everyone. Don't worry, Rebecca wore her tutu the entire day- including for lunch at Panera Bread and the two hour car ride to Blacksburg. :)
Here she is on the way home. Such a cutie!

Easter

Happy Easter!

We spent the weekend in Elkin- it was great!

Rebecca had a big time at the park yesterday.

And a big trip to Wal-Mart. I love this picture- everyone is so serious.

I'm looking more and more pregnant these days. Everything is still going well. I feel the baby kick all the time. I have a feeling she is going to be a wild one. Every time I go for an ultra sound or check up where the nurses have such a hard time getting what they need because the baby does not stay still. Who knows, though. I thought Rebecca was going to be a quite, serious child and she is not at all. She is a little ham and not shy at all. Just like her daddy.

Just look at this look.

And this one. Best chip ever!!

18 mo and a baby girl

Rebecca!

Spring! We are loving this weather!!

Last weekend Matt and I went to Mobile for Mary Martha's wedding. It was so much fun! So great to see so many old friends.

We just found out we're having a girl and we are so excited!! I have a sister and love it. I'm glad Rebecca will have a sister, too. My pregnancy is going great. It seems to be going by much faster this time. Now that we know the sex of our baby I'm excited about getting started on the nursery. Here I am last week. I feel like I'm finally starting to look pregnant and not just like I ate a sandwich.

Rebecca just had her 18 month check up and is doing great! She's in the 35% for weight and height. No signs of an ear infection and now that she's bigger I'm hoping all of that mess is behind us.

Ooooh! Nice pic!

Big Girl

Rebecca!

She is getting so big! All the baby is gone. And I think she has gone through some kind of growth spurt this last week. My child is busting out of her clothes.

She has quite the appetitie. She loves to eat and will eat most things. I think her favorites are fruit, cheese, certain vegetables like sweet potatoes and broccoli and proteins like fish or pintos. She doesn't like strawberries or asparagus and if you give her any kind of salad or lettece she will spit it out.

She is starting to say more words including mama, daddy, ball, baby, hi, bye, oh no, alright, more (for something to eat), bath, and choo choo!

We are super into choo choo soul right now. With Genevieve and DC. It's from Disney and kind of like hip hop for children. We jam out almost every morning.

Rebecca will imitate everything we do. I have a bad habit of blowing my nose/loudly clearing my throat every morning and Rebecca has started doing it, too. It's lovely.

We've been having some good weeks (I know, it's been a while since my last post). Matt's parents have been keeping Rebecca for us and we've really made some progress on the house- no more boxes! The weather has been great lately. We've been outside more and met many of our neighbors. We even went over to our friend Micheal's tonight to grill out.

Cute girl!
