Halloween

Rebecca!

I bought matching Alabama cheer leading outfits for the girls but about a week before Halloween Rebecca told me she wanted to be a ballerina super hero.

Laura got to wear the boots and arms bands from Rebecca's costume. Poor little second child :)

Sweet Mrs. Myrtie. Matt took Rebecca trick or treating and said that she liked to tell everyone what she was and that she could not get enough compliments. "Oh, you like my costume? Do you like my cape? Do you like my mask?"

Deanie!! We had a great weekend! Walt and Lloydine came to visit us on Friday and we spent the night with the Anders on Saturday.

Touchdown Auburn!!

Babies in the morning

I used to think it was the meanest thing ever for people to post pictures of their kids crying. Then I had Laura. This is just the way she communicates. She has opinions and has to share us with her sister. While we spent the night with the Anders, Rebecca spent the night with her Oma (and loved it!) and Laura loved all the extra attention.

She was the sweetest little snuggle bug.

Sunday I took Rebecca to the symphony. The Halloween theme was a little too spooky for us but I love this discovery kids series and can't wait to go back!

Rebecca "relaxing" on the kitchen floor...Happy Halloween!

Walking

Laura!

Laura has officially started walking! I'm so excited! We are are so proud of her! And she is so proud of herself. So cute!

We got to go to Rebecca's dance class for a "performance" this week. It was adorable!

Yesterday was Elexa's birthday party.

Safari Nation. So fun!! Rebecca was fearless.

Today we went to the park.

Where's Laura?

Peak a boo! Matt taught Laura how to give kisses and she today she gave me one out of the blue. It was the sweetest thing ever.

We were so happy to have Oma over for supper tonight!

We went for a walk and Rebecca spent most of it casting spells. We have been working on letters with her a lot lately and at this point it is pretty much hilarious. Tonight she said, "Princess starts with U and U starts with zebra." The other day I handed her a glass of milk and she said , "Mmmm, Nnnnn, Rrrrr, Milk!" She really though she had sounded out the word milk perfectly. Hilarious.

Happy Fall!

Destin

Laura! This little diva was actually a good little traveler.

Before we left we stopped in Yadkinville to bring Oma some Starbucks and wish her a happy birthday. We love you, Oma!

Gorgeous! Last Wednesday we went to Florida for "Matt and Phil's Excellent DESTINation- Family Reunion 2013".

My dad and some of the cousins! It was almost all of my mom's side of the family and so great to see everyone!! Thank you Christina and Sands for having us!

We split into teams and everyone made the most amazing dinners. I think Sands won Top Chef Destin with his duck roll ups.

Dance Party! We had a dance party almost every night and Rebecca was definitely the star of the show.

The beach! I love the beach in Destin. The sand is so white and the water is so clear. We stayed on the bay but drove down to the public access and pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves.

Pops and Baby Jim! Jim is the best natured little boy! We love him so much!!

Double trouble! The babies loved the plastic cars.

The grown ups loved the bocce ball.

Matt, my dad, Phil and Kim got a guide and went fishing Saturday morning. We ate that trout for supper- delicious!

Keletons! Rebecca will leave the "s" off the beginning of words and I think it's so cute. Thank you Teeny for our matching pajamas!

My mom and Aunt Anne reading Rebecca a bedtime story- so fun!

We had dinners after the little ones went to bed and stayed up playing blackjack every night. My mom was the big winner- haha! In this picture you can also see the awesome coozies Matt and Phil made for us with pictures of their faces on them. :)

Such a great trip! I can't wait to do it again!!

#fair

Rebecca!

This weekend was the Dixie Classic Fair!

We got there super early- this was clutch.

We saw giant pumpkins

And chickens

And met this talking dog on a tractor.

We stopped to get some cute pictures in front of some mums but the country music came on and the photo shoot turned into a dance party. What can you do?

We ate some awesome fair food

And met our friends, the Robinsons. Rebecca was so excited to see Elexa!

So fun!

Laura was out!

Monday was my birthday! It was so much fun!

Matt did a great job making it such a special day. On Sunday I was walking down the hall after we'd put Rebecca to bed and she called me into her room and said, "Mama! I have to give you a hug and a kiss! It's almost your birthday!' She was so excited! So cute!!

Chili! This little cute had started saying, "Hi!" when she waves. She's also started walking a few steps at a time more regularly. She still prefers crawling but I think she'll be walking soon.

Here she is drinking out of a straw at the Mexican restaurant. So proud of herself!

And Rebecca got candy! #purpleismyfavorite Matt has started pretending he is Jimmy Fallon and will say hashtag all the time so Rebecca has started doing it too and it is hilarious. #sofia I really can't say anything because I have started putting hashtags at the bottom of all of my work emails. #superprofessional

"Girls, let's get a picture in your matching pajamas!"
