Snow Days

Rebecca!

Two weeks ago we had our first snow!

Sweet girls!

Last week was Jonas! The forecast was for 8-12 inches of snow but we ended up with closer to 5 and it was pretty icey. The girls still had a blast!

There were snow angels

And sledding! Our back yard is sloped just enough for the girls to get themselves going and crash into the fence. They thought it was hilarious.

So cute! The minute Laura would get a drop of snow on her wrist she would come inside. I get it. I really don't love being cold so Matt took the girls sledding each day.

By the third day Matt just taped Laura's gloves to her jacket. :)

School and activities were canceled Friday, Saturday, Sunday. There were lots of games

And shows

And kisses

The New Year

Laura!

New Year's Eve!

Matt's old boss gave him the tickets to his suite at the Greensboro Colseium for the Avett Brother's show. So much fun!

The girls got to spend the night at Mandy's with their Oma. This is Laura's 2015 year in review. What would she do with $100? Go to the Dollar Tree!

Grocery store fun! Matt took the girls by himself while I was working. Work is crazy for us around year end. Things are slowing down for me but not for Matt. Thank you so much Oma! I have no pictures but we are so thankful for all of your help!!

We have really gotten into puzzles lately. The other night we were working on one and Rebecca told us that if I found one of the brown sidewalk pieces I should say alert, alert! Laura should say beep, beeeeeeeep and if she found one she would say yodelayheehoo. So dorky and so cute! I have a feeling this one is going to turn out just like her mama.

Sweet Laura has started calling her Lambies Lambie Booty. Not sure what that's about.

Alabama won the national championship! Matt somehow hooked the internet up to our TV so we got to watch the biased Alabama version of the game (with a Saban cam).

Both the girls had the stomach bug last week. Thankfully it didn't last long and they were back to normal after one morning of being sick. I think that was the first time Laura had chicken noodle soup. She kept saying, "This is so yum! This is so yum, Mom!"

Good morning!

Christmas

Rebecca!

We've had a fun Christmas break!

There was a White Christmas re-enactment on Christmas Eve

And popels on Christmas morning! The girls were so excited!! When Rebecca came to get me she said, "Mom! There are so many presents to be seen!"

Matt's mom and grannies spent Christmas with us and we loved having them here. The weather was so weird, we turned the air conditioning on Christmas Day. Our big gift to the girls was a trip to Disney World. When we told them we were going the were just like oh ok. It was hilarious. I wish I had it on video. Thankfully my parents also got them scooters.

We went to Jarrett's for supper on Christmas Day and there was a dance party

The day after Christmas we went down to Mandy's. It was great to see everyone!

Cousins! We got to see Riley

And Camden and Alison

And Matt did Camden's rubic's cube!

Holiday Happenings

Laura! Crazy girl

Last week was Laura's dance showcase! Her motions were so exaggerated and awesome. She loved it!

We skipped Rebecca's dance show because it was the same time as the girl's party at school. Ms. Lisa called it a "Holiday Happening" and it really was. Total chaos. There were some crafts, some carols, a story and Rebecca's class sang a special song.

Matt was in NYC and missed the show but I think his meetings went well and he got to see his BFF Manny.

Last Sunday we lit the Advent wreath. The girls may or may not have sat/laid in the floor. NBD

Luminaries! My favorite Winston Salem tradition

This weekend Matt and I went to Louis's Christmas party and spent the night at the Proximity. So much fun!! Thank you Oma for keeping the girls!

Also the weather has been unseasonable warm lately and we can't get enough!

Other exciting happenings include Disney on Ice and the Nutcracker (which I got no pictures of)

Chucky Cheese for Logan's birthday

Meeting Santa and Matt's work party

And glow sticks in the bathtub! Baby rave

Thanksgiving

Laura!

The weekend before Thanksgiving we had Matt's family over to our house to celebrate. The girls loved seeing their cousins! Mandy and her family moved into their new house in Concord that Monday and we are so excited they are going to be closer!!

Delicious! I baked a ham and Ms. Joan made all the sides.

Monday was the girl's Thanksgiving feast at school.

Cuties! My parents came in Tuesday night and Christina and her family got here Wednesday. We all drove up to Blacksburg for Thanksgiving at Anne and John's.

Before supper we went bowling at the Cinebowl! The kids had never been before and they loved it. After each turn Laura would yell boo-yah!

Mother May I! We got an awesome turkey dinner from fresh market and Matt made a reheating chart. Of course there was black jack.

We spent Friday in Woodstock and somehow this is the only picture I got. Awesome eyebrows. It was great to see everyone and we especially loved meeting baby Kira.

Saturday was the iron bowl! We got up early and drove back to Winston for the game. Sadly Auburn didn't win but definitely made a good showing.

Saturday was also a book fair.

Mat Winsor! Mat watched the game with us and spent the night before he flew out on Sunday. He also got to  help pick out our Christmas tree!

Beautiful!
