Harry

Rebecca!

About two weeks ago Laura had her first trip to the dentist. Much to my surprise she did fine!

Last week Harry passed away. We are so sad to lose him but so thankful he lead such a full life.

All things considered, Grandma is doing really well. She is a fighter.

We were glad we could make it to Woodstock for the service. The girls especially loved seeing their Grandma and Pops.

On the way home we stopped in Blacksburg for lunch at the Cracker Barrell with Granny and Anne and John.

Laura! Such a cutie. She is still not really talking. She can say a few things but seems totally fine with pointing and grunting most of the time. She has started saying Becca, which is really cute, and not nice, which comes out clear as day. While we were visiting Grandma at the rest home Laura and Rebecca were playing on the bench of an organ. Out of nowhere Laura shoved Rebecca off the bench then said, "not nice, not nice!"

Rebecca is also as cute as can be. She will say the words pretend burp then bust out laughing explaining that she didn't really burp she was just pretending. She has also recently started referring to herself in the third person. Like Bob Dole. Both girls just finished their third week at a new school! The church where they had been going decided they didn't want to have a daycare anymore and are planning on selling to a third party. Time for a change. So far we love Epiphany! It's taking some time to get adjusted but I feel great about this place. The other day Jarrett was over here and asked Rebecca when she started her new school. She said, "the day after the last day at my old school".

Father's Day

Laura!

Ridin

Rebecca is getting so big!!

We had a great weekend! Yesterday Matt's mom took the girls to a princess party in Yadkinville where the got to met real princesses.

And Rebecca and I went to Eleni's birthday party at Salem Gymnastics.

Today was Father's Day! Matt "wore" the tie Rebecca made for him. I had planned to let him sleep in but Rebecca was so excited about giving him the tie she'd made at school she had to do it at 7:45. There was no stopping her. We also got him some shirts and Rebecca made him a book. Among other things she said Matt was 23 years old and named Matt Daddy Rogers. She also said his favorite thing to eat was anything her mama cooked for him. So sweet!

Charleston

Rebecca!

Rickshaw! Matt and I went to Charleston for the weekend. I had never been before and it was so much fun!!

We were there for Nick and Whitney's wedding and it was so great to see so many old friends. Here we are at breakfast and the Market. The shrimp and grits I had might have been served on a paper plate and they might have been amazing.

Circle J Ranch! Matt's mom kept the girls for us and I don't think they missed us one bit. We are so lucky to have her so close by. Ms. Joan, we can not thank you enough!!

The wedding was beautiful! #howLOWEcanyougo

Yes, that's Matt on stage singing the Humpty Dance. Of course we loved it and I think even the band was impressed.

Great weekend!! I even had my picture made with a celebrity :)

Strawberries

Laura!

Rebecca! First selfie.

On Saturday we picked our own strawberries at R&M Farm

Rebecca wore her ballerina superhero costume. She is so cute! We had to drive up 158 to get the the farm and on the way she said, "Mama, we are in the in country." That day we went to the library then to pick strawberries then had lunch at Wendy's. While we were eating lunch she said, "Mama! This is the best day ever!" Little Matt Rogers

Laura and Charlie! On Saturday Rebecca spent the night with her Oma and the Anders spent the night with us. Charlie is so sweet and as soon as he got here he wanted to give Laura hugs and pat her on the back. Laura was not having it and would push him away. After a while she must have started warming up to him. We were sitting on the deck and they both started walking back into the house and started holdings hands. Charlie looked back at us with a huge grin on his face like are you seeing this guys?! So cute and funny!

German wine. We're fancy. Mat Winsor also came over last night! We were so glad to see him!! Matt told Rebecca he was coming and everyday on the way home from school this week Rebecca would ask me if Mat Winsor was coming that night.

Today we went to the dash game with Matt's mom, brother Ira and Ira's new special friend. Then we got Mexcian and came back to the house to play. Such a fun day!
