Thankful

Laura! So sweet!!

Poor little Laura had a double ear infection last week but is feeling much better now.

A turkey and her turkey!

Rebecca got her first homework assignment and came up with this story of Lala Louie.

On the way! Mat was mad we were five minutes late.

Still mad on the way to the reception. Besides having to deal with Pawpaw's terrible attitude we had a great time this weekend! Ms. Joan kept the girls for us and we went to Flat Rock for Philip Sloop's wedding. It was so great to see old friends and we are so happy for Philip and Lindsey!

On Sunday we celebrated Thanksgiving with Matt's family in Yadkinville. Everyone was in town. It was so much fun!

There were fun crafts- thank you Aunt Mandy!

And fun presents- thank you Wayne and Betty!!

BFFs

Laura and Granny Marie! I love this picture. Granny Marie made a homemade fruit cake for the occasion. It was delicious!

NYC

Rebecca!

New York!! This is the view from our room.

Matt's boss was signed up for some accounting CPE but wasn't able to go so Matt got to go in his place. Ms. Joan kept the girls so I got to go too. Thank you Oma!!!

We had the best time!! We stayed in Times Square and despite being a tourist myself after about one hour of being in the city I was completely over all of the tourists.

On Sunday we met my cousin Erin and her husband Ryan. I loved their neighborhood! They have the cutest apartment. We watched some football there then had some drinks at a wine bar down the street.

Mary Martha was able to take the train down to meet us! This is a picture from hotel breakfast but we had the best dinner at an Afro French restaurant Sunday night.

On Monday Mary an I met her friend Sarah who is in jewelry school and got a tour of her workshop.

We walked over to Eataly, the most amazing Italian market.

Then ate our snacks across the street at the park where we saw a photo shoot. It was so pretty outside!!

We spent the rest of the day walking and shopping and got our eye brows threaded and eyelashes dyed. I am in love with getting my eyelashes dyed!

Mary Martha took the train back Monday night and Matt and I met one of the lawyers who does work for his company for dinner. I made him tell us his life story and now feel like we are best friends. We ate at the fanciest Italian restaurant in Lincoln Center. It was so good!! Probably the best meal of my life.

A sign from our hotel room. Please put your negotiable securities in the safe. Funny. I did a little bit more shopping this morning then made it from my hotel to my gate in 36 minutes. Amazing.

It was fun to get away but I am so glad to get back to these sweet girls.

Fall

Laura! Such a doll!

I love this picture. Rebecca making friends at Chick fil a.

She is as cute as ever. This morning Rebecca was standing up in her chair at breakfast and I said, "Knees or bottom, please". Rebecca said, "Mama, I have to stand up, stand up for Jesus." It's a song from chapel at school. :)

We're good. Nothing too exciting to report. The weather is getting colder. Peak a boo!

A crayon went through the wash and my dryer now looks like this.

Yesterday was Caroline's birthday at Jump N Fun. They turned out lights and played dance music during the party. Awesome!

We met the Hamlins for the Alabama/LSU game last night. Alabama won. Roll Tide.

Sweet Riley!

This afternoon Oma, Maria and Riley came over for super. It was great to see everyone!

Halloween

Rebecca!

I bought matching Alabama cheer leading outfits for the girls but about a week before Halloween Rebecca told me she wanted to be a ballerina super hero.

Laura got to wear the boots and arms bands from Rebecca's costume. Poor little second child :)

Sweet Mrs. Myrtie. Matt took Rebecca trick or treating and said that she liked to tell everyone what she was and that she could not get enough compliments. "Oh, you like my costume? Do you like my cape? Do you like my mask?"

Deanie!! We had a great weekend! Walt and Lloydine came to visit us on Friday and we spent the night with the Anders on Saturday.

Touchdown Auburn!!

Babies in the morning

I used to think it was the meanest thing ever for people to post pictures of their kids crying. Then I had Laura. This is just the way she communicates. She has opinions and has to share us with her sister. While we spent the night with the Anders, Rebecca spent the night with her Oma (and loved it!) and Laura loved all the extra attention.

She was the sweetest little snuggle bug.

Sunday I took Rebecca to the symphony. The Halloween theme was a little too spooky for us but I love this discovery kids series and can't wait to go back!

Rebecca "relaxing" on the kitchen floor...Happy Halloween!
