52- Happy Birthday Rebecca!

Rebecca turned one on Tuesday!

She loved her birthday cake. :)

We had a big week! My granny moved to Blacksburg, VA and my parents came down to help her get settled in. Rebecca and I went up to visit and had the best time! While we were there we also got to see Aunt Anne and Uncle John, Laura, William and Rebecca. Rebecca was a chamer! Her latest trick is to cover her face up with her hands when we ask where's Rebecca then pull them away and grin. So cute!

Here is Rebecca getting wheeled around on Granny's walker. While we were at Granny's Rebecca said her first word! She was obessed with Granny's cat, Boo and started pointing and saying cat. So smart!

After visiting in Blacksburg we went on up to Woodstock to visit with my Grandma and Harry. Here we are in Grandma's kitchen for another birthday celebration for Rebecca. While we were in Woodstock we got to also got to see Uncle Walt and Aunt Lloydie. Rebecca loved her some Lloydine!

Here she is playing with Grandma's pie pans. So fun!

51- Full on Walking

Rebecca is 51 weeks!

So cute! This little girls has started walking around like it is no big deal. We are so proud of her! She just gets to be more and more fun the bigger she gets. She still loves to dance to music and eat everything. This week we started introducing whole milk. I am so excited!! I'm proud to have made it to a year with breast feeding but so ready to be done!

She wasn't too sure about being outside at first.

And then she was off!

Rebecca can also go up stairs all by herself. I really don't know how she knew how to do this since we have no stairs in our apartment. So advanced!

50- Happy Birthday Matt

Rebecca at 50 weeks!

We had another big week! Our friend Volker came to visit us before moving back to Germany for good. :(

And it was Matt's 31st birthday! We met friends for dinner and drinks at Fishbones on Friday.

And on Saturday we had a birthday party tailgate before the NC State/Wake Forest game. It was so much fun!! Marty made the best low country boil. So good! Matt's mom met us at the tailgate and took Rebecca back to Elkin for the night. There is no way she would have lasted at the game. It was so hot! But so fun. State didn't win but we had the best time cheering them on. H-O-L-D, Hold that line! There were 18 of us in a block and we ended up next to some older Wake Forest Fans who turned out to be really fun. At point we had a cheer-off, kind of like a rap battle.

And Rebecca in the bath. Best bath ever!

49- Blowing Rock

Rebecca is 49 weeks!

We had a great week! Here is Rebecca in her new big girl car seat.

We made our way to Greensboro for a play date with Cassidy, Lilly and Caleb. Such fun! Lilly was so sweet with Rebecca and Caleb was such a cutie pie. I am slightly obessed with him as he looks exactly like my friend from college, Nick Hauser.

We went to Blowing Rock (for some reason I always say bowling rock instead of blowing rock, what?) for labor day weekend for our friends JJ and Stacy's wedding. So much fun! Here's a picture of Matt and Rebecca as the rehersal. I forgot my phone charger and right after this my phone died and I got no pictures the rest of the weekend. Such a shame! Blowing Rock is so cute and the wedding was beautiful. They wrote their own vows and I think JJ's were best I have ever heard. Matt's parents came with us for the weekend and kept Rebecca while we went to the wedding and reception. So nice! Joan and I had the best time walking around downtown and through the park. We held Rebecca's hands so she could walk throught he grass at the park. So cute!

Playing with cups- Yea!

My nephew, Maverick. His parents are the coolest.
