44- Double Ear Infection

Rebecca is 44 weeks!

This poor little girl has an ear infection in both ears. I took her to the doctor on Tuesday and she said they looked terrible. She is on some antibiotics now and seems to be on the mend.

On Sunday I could tell she wasn't feeling well and thought it might just be teething. But on Monday all she wanted to do was this.

And this. Poor thing!

I am just thankful we were able to be seen when we were and the medicine seems to be working.

Before the sickness we had a fun weekend.

We went to the Madison Place pool party on Saturday. Rebecca loved smiling for everyone who came up to her in the pool. Such a cheeser!

Then we went to Mooresville to visit with the Bentons then to Elkin on Sunday. Rebecca sat with us for big church and did great. More cheesing.

Here she is sleeping on Granny Marie. Rebecca's name for Matt's Grandmas is Granny-Granny and I love it.

And here's James. Our friends Jeremy and Jessica and their boys James and Justin came to see us on Sunday. It was great to see them! James and I were being best friends. He loved my iPhone.

Feeling better!

43- Kernersville

Rebecca is 10 months old!

Exciting things are happening. Rebecca is now standing on her own without holding on to anything and can walk around by pushing a laundry basket wherever she wants to go. Also exciting, we moved to Kernersville, NC!!

Here's our new place. Matt decided the PhD program was not for him and took a job as Director of External Reporting for New Breed Logistics in High Point. He started on Monday and likes it so far.

We hope to buy a house up here but we're renting an apartment until we can fix up our house in Tuscaloosa and sell it.

Rebecca is already in daycare and doing great! One of my best friends has a little girl who is a month younger than Rebecca. There was an opening in her class so Rebecca was able to start right away. I'm so excited they'll get to be playmates.

I am looking for a job but hoping to find something part time so we'll see if I can work that out. For now I'm focusing on getting settled. There is a lot of cleaning and organizing to do. Everything smells like tornado.

We will miss everyone in Alabama but we're so happy to be back in North Carolina! We've seen tons of old friends so far and seen Matt's parents twice already. This weekend we have big plans for visiting the Bentons in Statesville then going to Elkin to see more of Matt's family. Can't wait!

42- Chicken and Rice

Rebecca is 42 week!

We have had the best week! Matt went to NC for boy scout camp and my mom came to stay with me.

In the kitchen. So much fun!!

Dad and Christina and Sands came up at the end of the week. We had best time playing games and eating chicken and rice.

Here we are going on a walk around campus. As you can see Rebecca was not impressed with the statues of national championship winning Alabama coaches. War eagle, Rebecca, war eagle.

Such a little cutie!

41- All the Single Ladies

Rebecca is 41 Weeks!

Her ears have cleared up! I am so glad she is not going to have to get tubes.

She has started officially eating table foods. So far she has tried grits, toast, black beans and rice. Here she is after trying avocado. She is so funny!

Her latest trick is acting like she is Beyonce and waving her hands in the air whenever we sing All the Single Ladies.

This week Mandy, Ms. Joan, Camden and Alison stayed with us on their way to Texas. It was great to see them!

Yesterday was our anniversary! Matt and I have been married 6 wonderful years. Here is the painting Matt got for me. I love it!

Our little Cutie! Who, me?
