18- Daycare

Rebecca is 4 months old! I can hardly believe it!

She is such a happy baby. She loves to smile and play with us. She is growing more and more everyday. I love the look on her face when she "discovers" her toys, apparently they are fascinating. She has also starting "talking". She squeaked for pretty much the entire ride to daycare this morning.

Speaking of daycare, here is Rebecca in her big girl clothes. Ready to go! She seems to be doing fine with it. Her teachers all say she has the best disposition. It's been harder for me. I like my new job but I just miss her so much.

I just look forward to the weekend even more now. Here she is with Matt on Saturday. He will sing for her and it always makes her smile.

Wheeeee!

17- Funny Face

Rebecca is 17 weeks today!

I have taken no real pictures this week but I do have some from my phone.

We've had a great week! Big events this week include an ice storm on Monday, happy hour with Matt's classmates on Friday and our friend Emily's 30th birthday celebration on Saturday. We stayed with our friends, Chris and Ashley, in Birmingham. Ashley and I went out with the girls to celebrate Emily's birthday and Chris and Matt kept Rebecca. They did great!

School started for Matt. He taught his first class on Wednesday, Accounting 210. I think it's going well, it's the big intro to accounting class that everyone has to take and all Matt really has to do is lecture. He's also working on his first year paper and some kind of project on the fraud triangle/diamond.

I got a job!! I'm going to be working in the accounting department of a local company, Afflink. I'm excited about it, I start on Thursday. I will really miss spending my days with Rebecca but I knew this day would come and I'm so ready to be done with COBRA payments.

Rebecca seems to be doing great at daycare. It's been pretty hard for me but I know she's at a great place. She is as cute as ever!

Goochie, goochie, goo! Now that Rebecca moves around so much more, it seems all the pictures I get of her these days are sort of blurry.

Excited! I'll sit Rebecca in her Bumbo while I'm in the kitchen and she seems to really like it. She also does pretty well in it when we sit her on the table with us for dinner.

Rebecca loves this Auburn music box Grandma and Pops got for her last week. It plays part of the fight song and Rebecca will be still and smile whenever we play it. She already loves Auburn, I think it's a sign she will be going there one day. Sorry Matt.

And here is Rebecca this morning before daycare. I love this funny face!

16- Grandma and Pops

Rebecca is 16 weeks! Such a cutie!!

After getting a little behind over the holidays, my New Year's resolution is to update my blog once and week. I'm also now giving real titles to each post.

Exciting happenings this week include having our friends Kelsey, Clark and Bradley over for dinner and the Ohio/Arkansas game.

Auburn winning the national championship! War Eagle!! I know Rebecca is not even in Auburn clothes in this picture but it's a cute one.

And most exciting, a visit from Grandma and Pops!

We had a great time! Rebecca loved all the attention.

Family photo. Rebecca loves her playmat! This was a big weekend for her. She started grabbing for toys and pulling them into her mouth. She also started raising her feet up and slamming them down when she's on her back. She'll sometimes end up on her side doing this.

She's also doing better on her tummy. She had a record today of 15 minutes. Speaking of records, I forgot to mention the Christmas miracle in my last posts. Rebecca has started sleeping 7 hours! To me that is sleeping through the night, it's awesome.

15 Weeks

Rebecca is 15 weeks and two days old today!!

We're good! We're still recovering from our 18 day trip across the country...I might have gotten a little behind on my bloging...

Anyways, we had a great week!

After saying goodbye to everyone in Elkin we headed home. Matt drove through the night so Rebecca (and I!) could sleep. I don't know how he does it, but I love it. I fall asleep in North Carolina and wake up in Alabama, it's like I'm traveling through time.

After a few days of settling back in we headed to Birmingham for New Year's with our friends, Chris and Ashley. They hosted a New Year's party and we had a great time!

We also stayed with them on Saturday and pretty much watched every single bowl game.

Roll tide roll!

Today was Rebecca's first day of school! Here I am getting her into the car. I am still looking for a job but haven't found anything yet. We have Rebecca registered for daycare and if we take her out we'll lose her spot. Since I'm not working we're easing into it, a few hours today and she's not going back until next week. Grandma is coming to visit tomorrow and Pops is coming on Thursday. We can't wait!!

14 Weeks

Rebecca at 14 weeks!

Rebbecca at 13 weeks!

After spending the day in Elkin, we packed again and headed to Vienna, VA to visit my mom's mom, my granny.

We had a great visit! Here Matt is changing Rebecca's clothes under the supervision of granny's cat, Boo.

While we were there my cousin Will and his girlfriend (now fiancée!!) , Rebecca came over for dinner. It was great to see them, I hate we didn't think to take any pictures.

Rebecca talking to Granny. This is where she got her new nick name, little fatty fat fatty. :)

Next we went to Woodstock, VA to visit my dad's mom and her husband, Harry.

Grandma and Matt

While we were in Woodstock we also got to see my Uncle Walt and Aunt Lloydine. They came over for a delicious meal. I found out the secret to Grandma's mashed potatoes- coffee creamer. Yum!

Such a cutie! While Harry and Rebecca were smiling at each other Harry said, "I have a way with them." I said, "babies?" He said, "women." :)

After Woodstock we made our way to Roanoke where we spent the day with our friends Cody and Martha and their little girl, Emma.
