Dauphin Island

Naked Rebecca and Grandma!
We went to Dauphin Island for a long weekend with my parents and Christina and Sands. It was great!! Paradise!
Riding in style. I was worried about how Rebecca would do on the plane but she was totally fine. And yes, she wore her tutu for the entire trip down.
Rebecca wasn't as into the sand but loved getting knocked around by the waves.
This is Matt. He is a kite enthusiast.
Everyone calls Christina Teeny but Rebecca has changed it up a little bit and prefers Tina. I love this. At one point this weekend she was screaming for Tina and Pops at the top of her lungs and for some reason it was hilarous. Like Will Ferrell screaming for meatloaf in the movie Wedding Crashers. Rebecca is so much fun these days! She is saying more and more words like broccoli, more cheese- seriously everytime she sits at the table, her new name is Eurkel- party, bubbles, elbow, Tee-tee (she sits on her little potty but nothing happens), outside (her favorite place), wet (her favorite description?) airplane, ponytail and all aboard just to name a few.
Pregnant! My mom and Christina had a surprise baby shower for me and we were able to go to a big time baby shower for Chirstina while we were in Alabama. It was so nice! I'm glad we got to be a part of it. We can not wait for the arrival of little Jim!!
Thanks Christina and Sands for having us! We can't wait to go back!!

Mother's Day

Rebecca!
We had a great Mother's Day weekend! On Saturday I took an infant CPR class (better late than never?) and got a pedicure while Matt watched Rebecca. It was luscious.
Saturday night we stopped on our way to Elkin to have supper and visit with our friends, Cody, Martha and Emma. They live in the country and it is beautiful! Here are Matt and the girls waiting to wave at cars. On Sunday we went to church and had lunch with Matt's family. It was great!
Rebecca loves some bubbles.
Here she is tasting the bubbles.
Yuck!

Low Country Boil

Rebecca!
Breakfast this morning. Rebecca calls her stuffed bunny and Clifford her babies and she loves them! She carries them where ever she goes. Of coarse she's become attached to the two biggest toys she has. And you can't really tell in this picture but this bunny rabbit wears a swimsuit :)
Swinging! She loves it! Rebecca loves some adventure. She is not afraid of the big slide at the park. She is getting so big! She is really starting to talk more and more. She doesn't say that much but it's becoming easier and easier to understand her. She's also getting into concepts. Like Mama home. Daddy work. She really loves to tell us what to do. Mama sit. And Hot dog? Hot dog? This means turn on Mickey Mouse Club House.
This weekend we had a Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby/Housewarming party. It was so much fun!! As usual, I wish I'd gotten more pictures. It rained some Saturday afternoon but cleared up in time for the party. Marty and Matt made an awesome low country boil. Tons of friends came and we stayed up to the wee hours. So fun!
